Rural Route

Rural Route is an annual Holiday event the first weekend of December that combines the work at the Fagan-Carpenter Studio with the work at several other local studios to present a Self Guided Art Tour.

The work at the Fagan-Carpenter Studio will take a few new turns during the tour this year. Fagan-Carpenter will broaden the range of styles she shows to include some representational work, along with the mordern expressionist pieces for which she has become best known. Jimmy Crsothwait has increased production of his bottle sculptures to be presented along with his "Zen Chimes", and has added "Wall Flowers." Angela Mullikin will have an array of her beautiful enameled pendants, as well as some enameled paintings. And for the second year, Dianne Meucci from Oy Vey Garden will bring some of her innovatiove plantings to be shown in Fagan-Carpenter's lovely garden. (The work by all of these artists is of course for sale.)

The other studios include: Agnes Stark Pottery, Lugar Bronze Foundry and Eads Pottery

In its 9th year, the festive holiday art event has become a Memphis tradition that people from all over the region look forward to attending. New Show hours are: Friday, December 5, 10 a.m. - 5p.m., Saturday, December 6, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, December 7, 12 noon - 5 p.m.
